Matthew, can you please consider uploading a full unedited painting process of any of your landscapes or city scenes? I would looove to see it, even if it’s 3 hours long ❤
This alley or street reminds me of a trip I took to Speyer Germany some years ago. I will, have to dig those photos out one again. I miss Europe and this painting transported my mind back 20 years ago. Thank you for sharing your gift
Came here to thank you for another amazing video lesson, and I cant believe you dont have 20 million comments! This is wonderful, thank you thank you! ❤ I started watercolor but I am not good at it at all 😂 and thats what keeps me going I guess. Tommorow I am going on a vacation to a beautiful village and bringing my watercolors with me in hopes of returning with at least one painting I didnt rip apart in frustration 😅. Thank you for your great work! You are an inspiration.
Extraordinary tutorial. Comprehensive explanation without overdoing it. Clear, concise and informative. I'm grateful you don't use background soundtracks. Seeing your "head" is not a shame for me, it provides a more personal touch. Subscribed.😁
I wonder if there are any watercolor magazine publications in print still that focus on all levels of watercolor painting? As a beginner I really have a need for these materials to help me immerse even deeper into my painting journey
When you glazed the building on the left of the alley did you simply do a light wash of neutral tint over the top or a slightly darker wash of the same color as the building?
I'm new to your channel. But I already love how you present and explain everything you do. I hope I can take some things from you to help me getting into painting. One question: how long did this painting take you? Sometimes it helps a beginner to understand that you need to take the time. On youtube its hard to get that info, because the clips must be short 😄 looking forward to your other vids, there are a ton!!
What are the brushes that you use ? You said it was escoda but there are so many varieties. It was a 12 with a good point. Please tell me what it was. Thanks
It's a shame that we see your head throughout the video. It would be more interesting to see what you're doing full screen most of the time, to better understand your work, which is very interesting.
I am always impressed by the way you talk. You are quite scientific and organized to describe how and what to paint, which I believe must be essential in art.

Love it...❤
Enjoyed your discussion and seeing the painting process. Thank you for sharing the colors you use to paint the middle value connected wash.
Escoda Perla are my favourite brushes. They hold lots of water and keep their points well 😍

Thanks for you kind words! Best of luck in your painting!
Very useful to keep in mind. The colours in your demo are just right for this old, dusty-looking city.

Great info..thanks for keeping it simple and focused 🎨
One vp perspective and rule of third reinforces the focus ❤
Great lesson ❤️
That’s really good, your art is really great!
Lovely!
Matthew, i love your tutorials!
On this one, I got confused when your focal point is in the center of the page. What about the rule of thirds?
Well done!

The painting is pretty good but the mustache is even better :)

I like that we can see Matthew, its more personal and you have a better connection 😊

You can zoom in to the show just the painting and the video will continue to run
